A photography about people

Humans are what inspire me the most, so it was naturally that I gravitated towards portraiture when I started photography. I try to transcribe what I see as beautiful in each person I photograph, whether they are models or not. I treat visually the different emotions, through different personalities.

EXPOSITION

Oct 11th 2024 to Jan 10th 2025
Hôtel LE PIGALLE

Highlighting the sultry ambiance of our rooms and the electric energy of the neighborhood, Alexandra’s photos bring to life the unique charm and brazen spirit of Le Pigalle. Featuring the characters that define our hotel – from dedicated staff to beloved regulars and locals – this exhibition celebrates the cultural mix that makes Pigalle so special.

HUMANS AT THE HEART OF MY WORK

The relationship I create with each of my models, whether they are used to posing or not, is essential for me: making sure I understand who they are, without any judgment; make them feel comfortable, to be able to create images that resemble them (and that respect their limits) while highlighting them, within my creative style and direction.

My interest for people, quite logically, took me to erotic photography, where humans find themselves in their purest, most natural and instinctive state.

Through my work I like to try to question certain social dictates, which in my opinion create a lot of unhappiness unnecessarily. Feeling free to be yourself, in your body, in your sexuality is key to a less frustrated and therefore more harmonious society.

For commercial shoots, I work in a similar way: the human relationship with all the protagonists around the shoot (from the client, to the models and the service providers) is essential for me. Good understanding and listening to everyone allows for better results, and a pleasant experience.

When I shoot products, places or other entities, I approach them a bit like I do with models: I try to understand their identity/personality (based on brand identity and where it wants to go).
