POENARU design
Background
I am a poly-creative, based in the French Riviera & regularly in Paris.
Born in Paris from a family of Artists & Scientists and growing up in such unconventional surroundings allowed me to develop a vision well balanced between creativity & analytics.
I have been working in the design industry since over 20 years. Starting as a Fashion Designer in Paris, I naturally expanded into other creative fields such as Artistic Director, visual branding consulting, interior decoration and photography while living in the South Pacific and continued in this poly-creative path when I moved back to France.
I speak French, English & Italian fluently.
Decor style
Because of my life and unusual path, I developed a very unique & eclectic style, that can be described as an unexpected "metissage": where you can sense my Scandinavian origins, as well as the cosiness brought from my travels and the originality of my artistic up-bringing, all linked together with the French elegance.
I come with a professional experience full in diversity and commercial imperatives that taught me to think outside the box and help you bring your project to life.
I love challenges and am used to working on original projects.
A fashion story
Since 2002 I have been working as a freelance FASHION DESIGNER.
Freelancing allowed me to work on many different projects, as I love varying the challenges. I have had the pleasure to work with more than 20 labels, on over 60 collections.
From high fashion to mass-market labels. Some of my clients include: Barbara Bui, Eric Bompard, Gérard Darel, Kami organic, Armor lux, Oxbow, Kookai Australia and many others.
My speciality is knitwear design, she also designs woven and cut-&-sewn garments, for women and for men.
In parallel I design uniforms and has had the pleasure of designing the uniforms for the international boutiques of Nespresso (3 times), Jaeger-Le-Coultre, Vacheron Constantin, Panerai, L'Occitane, Fiji Airways to name only a few of many.
